(1/20) Our neighbor...

Two days ago I watched two neighbor boys walking home together...pushing each other and laughing the way boys do. I later learned that the father of one of the boys had had a heart attack earlier in the day...was found dead and revived by the paramedics. His body was cooled in hopes of stopping the damage...he coded today and they were unable to save him. My heart is broken for this family...unable to imagine if that was us...if I was forced to explain to my children that their daddy wasn't coming home....if I was forced to live my life without Doug. He was our age..has children the same age as my children....I am so sad for this family.
