(20/20) I'm outta here....

I'm off to Canton...keeping my fingers crossed that it will be an awesome week-end.

(19/20) Avery and Shoni....

(18/20) Carving Pumpkins...

The pictures aren't great but the fun was....after our feast, we let all the kids carve pumpkins...they had a great time and did a fantastic job!!

The silly girls wanted their pictures taken pretending to eat pumpkin "guts".

(17/20) My favorite things about fall....

The Savannah Fishing Tournaments....

Walking to the park and feeding the ducks in the evenings....

and football!!

(16/20) Spooky Feast Pics....

Here are some pics of our feast this year....love, love, love the fall and all that comes with it...leaves changing, cooler temps, fall colors...and Halloween!!

(15/20) Witches Fingers...

Every year for our Spooky Feast we make Witches Fingers. They are easy, fun and the kids love 'em (so do the adults). They are made with a basic almond cookie recipe, then the fingers are shaped by pinching the middle to form knuckles, using a butter knife to create the wrinkles and adding almonds as the fingernails. The top photo shows the nails unpainted....Avery decided they needed a "manicure" and she painted them green...using food coloring.
Happy Halloween....and Spooky Feasting!!

(14/20) Tonight....

Tonight we had our annual Spooky Feast...I'll post pictures later but for now, I just want to say how thankful I am for our friends and neighbors. We had a great time...ate way to much...I let the kids eat all the sweets they wanted and they ran through the house like banshees....the girls chased each other...the boys spit off the patio...we visited and carved pumpkins....lit sticks on fire and oohed and aahed over our neighbors new baby.....I am so thankful for everyone that God has put into my life....I am blessed. Tonight....was perfect.

(13/20) Postponed once again....

Due to this crazy, never-ending rain we seem to be having in Texas...Avery's horse show was once again postponed. She was said...we have new black gloves that she had planned to wear and you know how hard it is on a girl when a wardrobe plan goes awry. But, she's a trooper...and this gives us a few more weeks to practice....if the rain will ever stop.

(12/20) My booth in Mckinney....

(11/20) That's my boy!!!

This kid threw two awesome touchdown passes this week-end....and made two interceptions. I am so proud of him (he didn't get his athletic ability from his momma...fer shur). He had "the game of his life" to quote my proud husband.
Way to go buddy!!

(10/20) I "heart" Cake Pops....

(9/20) For Halloween this year....

Avery started out wanting to be an Indian Princess. Since finding out we have some Indian blood in our veins, she has been very excited about "representing our people". She is (and I quote) "Like Hannah Montana, with a secret identity....half regular girl, half secret Indian princess". Why secret....because when she told a friend at school, they teased her..so she is keeping her Indian heritage under wraps for awhile. We hit the costume store in search of an Indian princess dress....one that did not look like an Indian Princess meets Las Vegas showgirl...but on our search she found....a pink boxer costume (boxer as in "Rocky" not boxer dog :) Not only was it pink and came with boxing gloves...the girl on the front of the package had the exact some pink converse high tops as Avery has....a match made in heaven. So...a pink boxer she shall be.
Weston is going as a paint ball player. We didn't have to get a costume for him...but those who know him know he doesn't go anywhere without all the accessories....he'll be wearing regular clothes, carrying a paintball gun with a cover over the barrel (so the police don't pull him over..."they" said this has happened before...("they" being the guys at the sporting goods store who saw the opportunity for a sale) , some paintball pods which fit nicely into a paintball podholder which it then velcroed around his waist, paintball gloves and probably a hat. Any bets on how much I'll be carrying before the night is done :)
I love fall....I love halloween....I love halloween with my kids...we have costumes, we have trick-or-treat bags...now all we need is CANDY!!
