We'll take a short break from posting all the reunion pictures to post a few pics from Avery's riding lesson yesterday. She's beginning to canter over jumps, and her horse of choice these days is Shoni. Shoni is old...so old that Avery's trainer actually learned to ride on him.
And although Shoni is old, he is a wonderful, gentle horse who takes excellent care of his young riders. Today, Avery slipped onto his neck after a jump...Shoni simply stopped, waited for her to settle herself back in, then continued on. For this reason, Avery loves him....and so do I.
