(10/20) Adventures of a Yellow Belt....

Weston made yellow belt in Karate last week-end. Once I find where Doug put my camera I'll post pics!!! I was in Mckinney for Third Monday Trade Days and missed all the fun...here's a quick run-down:
1. They decided, for the first time, to test black belts first. Which meant...adults test first while kids wait....4 hours. While it was cool for the kids to see the Black Belts test, it wasn't easy for them to wait...and wait...and wait.
2. Weston lost his almost new crocs.
3. While walking back and forth, looking for Weston's crocs, Doug heard the following over the PA system....please sit down and quit walking back and forth during testing (~snicker~)
4. Avery had one of her prized "I love horses" flip flops fall down a grate.
5. A kind 12 year old girl tried to put her arm down the grate and get Avery's shoe. Her arm became wedged in there and they almost had to call the Fire Department. Luckily there were plenty of strong karate men to help free her.
6. Avery and Kamria spent their time on the gymnastics equipment since the testing was in a large gym.
7. Doug said they basically got Weston tested then threw the whole place into an uproar by walking around looking for shoes then causing a young girl to get stuck in a grate...after causing all this chaos..they left.

The cost:
Testing- $100
New Crocs- $30
New "I love horses" flip flops- $15.00
The letters to spell "I love horses" for the new flip flops- $26.00
Listening to my husband tell me what happened while I was enjoying some quiet time in Mckinney- Priceless
