(6/20) Christmas Caroling with Pack 372

Brrrrr....baby it's cold outside. Before Christmas, the entire family "suited up" and spent an evening caroling with Weston's Scout Troop. We thought we were walking...come to find out we were riding on a flat-bed trailer. Since we hadn't known to bring blankets...everyone shared theirs and we snuggled in and set off through the neighborhood (on the coldest night of the year and on a night the Cowboys were playing...arghhhh) Although it was freezing...the boys had a good time. Doug and I were frozen solid sitting on a hard, wood trailer floor packed between 50 frozen kids, but listening to Avery sing her little heart out made it worthwhile....and I think everyone that we sang for really enjoyed the performance. Several Dad's would jump off the trailer at designated spots, ring doorbells and invite everyone to come outside so the boys could sing. They didn't know the words to many songs...but the ones they knew they sang with GUSTO!!

This was my view for the trip!! Mr. Samsel was the song leader!!

About half-way through we stopped for hot chocolate and cookies....reboarded the trailer and headed off into the night once again....singing all the way...la...la....la!!!
