She spotted Comet from the steps high above...and made a bee-line straight for him. 



We petted and loved on him for a few minutes, then climbed aboard for the ride. The driver was kind enough to let the kids set up front....and let Avery drive the carriage.



Avery drove us along the Mississippi River....past Riverboats......
and bicycle carts built for two.
We looked out over the beautiful river.....
and saw the arch in the distance.
We saw other horses with their carriages, waiting for a passenger. 
We saw the beautiful bridge....we learned it's history while touring the Museum under the Arch. 
Just a side note....Weston asked if the horse could spook, so almost the entire ride the driver shared different stories of how the horses spook at this or run away when this happens....how they sometimes take off and head back to their barn, or jump when they hear the helicopter (we were passing at the time)....I was listening to her, while sitting in the back of the carriage watching my 8 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER HOLD THE REINS!!!
