(2/20) The annual Weston parade....

This year, as we have every year since the kids were born, we enjoyed the annual Weston 4th of July parade. We decorate the 4 wheeler/mule, fill our buckets with candy and head out along the parade route. For 2009, Doug drove, the kids and I rode in the back throwing candy while a special guest to the ranch, Aunt Mary, rode beside Doug up-front. Aunt Mary is Grandma Barb's sister...and this was her first visit to the ranch. Grandma Barb and Papa watched the parade from the sidelines...catching candy and taking pictures. As always, this small parade in an even smaller town reminds me why I truly am so proud to live in America...the floats are homemade, put together with tape and crepe paper...there are kids on bikes and horses, families riding together or watching together....we represented 3 generations....all joined together, under one flag and one God...to celebrate the greatest nation on earth.
Happy Birthday America!!!
