Last night was "National Night Out"....each year Savannah holds a neighborhood event at the clubhouse...complete with Bounce Houses, Bar-B-Q and Laser tag. It's a great way to get out, meet your neighbors and just hang out. Doug and I took the kids, along with a few extras, and let them play while we chatted. Weston played Laser tag and ate a sandwhich...the girls played in the bounce house, ran and squealed....and I tried to stay dry. It was, as it has been for the past week or more, raining. Luckily, it was on and off, so in between showers we toured the fire truck, visited with the policemen and played in puddles. While the girls and I were waiting in line for their second time on the trampoline (the one where you wear a harness and jump waaaaaaaaay up into the air) a huge bolt of lightning struck...followed by a loud blast of thunder. They girls screamed...ran for the car...and we called it a night.
