Since coming to Savannah, Weston has joined Boy Scouts....he's a Webelo!! We joined at the end of school last year and enjoyed some fun activities over the summer. We've gone camping as a family for Cross-Over Camp, where the boys cross a bridge set in the middle of a field, symbolizing their journey to the next step in Scouts. He went to Day Camp with some friends, where he cooked hamburgers and veggies in a tinfoil pouch over a fire...and came
home starving because he "wasn't eating that stuff".
Now that school is back in session the real fun begins. Weston's pack is new, and they voted to call themselves the Screaming Eagles. Their main fundraiser, selling popcorn, is in full swing and we'll be out and about at local businesses for the next several weeks. This is our first time to do scouting of any kind (although I was a Girl Scout when I was younger) and we're all excited to "get the party started".
