Tomorrow is Weston's first day of 4th grade and Avery's first day of 2nd. We have our clothes picked out, new backpacks (one camo--one Hannah Montana), new shoes and new lunch boxes. We've met the teachers, filled out PTA and volunteer forms, put new school supplies in new desks and checked class rosters...we've seen old friends and even met new ones. It's time....I'm always excited to see my kids go back to school. I'm ready, they're ready...yet it's still not easy. It's one more step away...away from me, away from being babies, then toddlers, then preschoolers...elementary school today...junior high tomorrow and before I know it...they're teenagers. We talked tonight about letting them walk to and from school...we're literally a small field away...we can see the school from the end of our street. But really, walk, they are much to young. But, not really....and that's the hard part for me...they're not to young...yesterday they were, today they're not...I miss them already!
